Year of the Rabbit

As I type this I realize I've been wearing my favorite American Apparel red acid wash jeans a whole hell of a lot lately.  And it turns out it may not be just because they're cozy and a perfect mix between high & mid waist...

Apparently rabbit friends, 2011 is our year. And I have it from a very good source that it's also the year to cover ourselves in the protection of the color red.

(Some of my self-imposed daily protection: Red polish, red pendant worn during our wedding week in Mexico, red Victoria's Secret panties, and more often than not - red lipstick.)

So really, who believes in all this stuff? Well, you may not... but it's worth some effort anyway. You know... just in case. 


According to Chinese Astrology, and after some sleepy research last night, I found mostly that this year is about tranquility, peace and rest. Which can I just say... sounds pretty good. 


A few more points that resonated for 2011: 
It’s time to kiss and make up. 
Forgive and forget. 
Let’s all get along. 
Make love not war. 
If last year's emphasis was on excitement, it's now on harmony.
But make an extra effort to follow your dreams, seize opportunities, and enjoy the moment.
For those who revel in a slow pace, 2011 promises to be a most enjoyable time.
